Yes. Ruckus and the mods in it are free to download and play.

Yes, for now. The installer isn't code signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen doesn't recognise it. Click More info, then Run anyway. See the two steps.

Liar's Bar and Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam, on Windows 10 and 11. Ruckus finds them in your Steam libraries. If a game lives somewhere else, choose its folder in the app. New games are added to the catalog over time and show up in the app by themselves.

No. Mods, profiles and playing all work signed out and offline. Signing in with Steam or Discord lets you publish races, upload your best times, vote and post ideas. There's no email and no password.

Only what it needs, and it keeps a list. For Liar's Bar it adds two small files that load the mods. For Cyberpunk 2077 it adds the files of the frameworks and mods you pick, and records each one. If you had changed a file it needs, it's backed up first, not deleted.

Play unmodded takes Ruckus's files out again, and uninstalling Ruckus puts your game folders back the way they were.

On purpose. Mods only load when you press Play in Ruckus. Start the game from Steam, or with Play unmodded, and you get the unmodded game. That keeps the game working for anything you do outside Ruckus.

No. Ruckus spots mods installed by other tools and sets them aside safely instead of deleting them. You'll find them under Mods from outside Ruckus in Profiles, and you can put them back any time.

Ruckus knows which game versions its mods were tested with. If your game is newer, it tells you before you play, so you can play unmodded or play anyway. Frameworks are kept at versions that work with your game patch, and fixed versions arrive as normal mod updates.

Ruckus Solo is played on your own against bots and never counts toward rank. Ruckus Perks is for friends-only and private lobbies, and everyone at the table needs it. Basic, Devil and Chaos games stay exactly as normal.

Open the game in Ruckus. The crash helper looks for the mod that most likely caused it and offers to turn it off. You can also try Verify and repair from the menu next to PLAY, which checks the mod files and puts back anything missing or changed.

Each game has a Logs tab with what the mods wrote, which helps a lot if you ask for help on Discord.

Ruckus checks for a new version and installs it by itself within minutes, never while a game is running. Every update is checked against its signature first. You can turn this off with Update Ruckus automatically in Settings. Mod updates are one button: Update for one mod, or Update all.

From Windows settings, like any app. The uninstaller removes Ruckus from your game folders and restores anything it backed up. Your mods, profiles and settings are only deleted if you tick Delete the application data.

Sit in any car and hold L (D-pad down on a controller). The game's race countdown starts. Drive where you like and hold L again to finish. Your run becomes a racing flag on the map. Drive up to a flag, stop and hold L to race its ghost.

The game doesn't save while you're in a ghost race or in its race car. Get out of the race car and saving works again.

In Ruckus, open Cyberpunk 2077 and go to Races. Press Share on a run to get a code like RKG-XXXX-XX, or Publish it so everyone can race it. Paste a friend's code with Add a ghost code. See the community races.

A profile share code, like RKS-XXXX-XX, holds a whole set of mods. Send it to a friend and they paste it with Import share code in Profiles. Codes aren't case sensitive, and O and 0 count as the same.

Open Ideas in Ruckus and press New idea, or upvote an idea that's already there. Each idea shows whether it's under review, planned, in progress, released or declined.
