RuckusGet Ruckus for Windows
The download is always the newest version. Ruckus keeps itself up to date after that.
First run on Windows
Ruckus is new and its installer isn't code signed yet, so Windows doesn't recognise it. The first time you open it, Windows SmartScreen shows a blue box called "Windows protected your PC". It's two clicks to carry on.
1. Click More info under the message.
2. Click Run anyway. The installer opens.
You only see this once. Ruckus updates itself after that, and every update is checked against its signature before it installs.
What you need
Windows 10 or 11
64-bit. Ruckus is a Windows app only for now.
Your games on Steam
Ruckus finds games in your Steam libraries, or you can point it at a game folder.
No admin rights
It installs for your Windows account only, so Windows doesn't ask for an administrator.
No account needed
Signing in with Steam or Discord is optional. You only need it to publish races, vote or post ideas.
What happens next
- The installer asks where to put Ruckus and whether you want shortcuts, then starts it.
- Pick a light or dark look, or follow Windows.
- Ruckus finds your games in Steam and sets them up for mods.
- Open a game, choose your mods and press Play.
Changed your mind? Uninstall Ruckus from Windows settings. It takes its files out of your game folders and puts back anything it backed up. Your mods and profiles are only deleted if you tick Delete the application data.
